From October 14-16, 2024, we had the privilege of participating in the ITAP Expo Singapore, where we introduced our Federated Observability in OT Environments solution. This event provided a unique platform to showcase the innovative capabilities of the Zaga Observability Solution, engineered specifically for distributed and edge environments. Our solution seamlessly integrates with Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, MicroShift, and Red Hat Device Edge, enabling businesses to collect data across systems, monitor energy consumption per workload, and optimize performance across network layers. In addition to observability, our solution empowers automation and control systems by offering real-time visibility into critical operational data. By leveraging advanced telemetry data, industrial controllers and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) can seamlessly interact with the edge platform, ensuring faster response times, minimizing downtime, and improving overall efficiency. This integration allows automation systems to autonomously adjust production workflows, optimize machine performance, and reduce energy consumption based on dynamic conditions within the operational environment. Key features include end-to-end monitoring, advanced telemetry data management, cloud integration with AWS, and real-time insights powered by OpenTelemetry protocols. With its robust data mesh architecture, the Zaga solution supports distributed querying and scalable data storage, even in challenging network conditions. Through its deep integration with automation systems and control protocols such as OPC-UA and Modbus, the solution facilitates seamless communication between IT and OT environments, enhancing the overall efficiency of industrial processes. Automation engineers can now have greater control over production systems with the ability to monitor and adjust parameters in real-time, ensuring peak operational performance and proactive maintenance. We are proud to have demonstrated how our solution enhances observability, automation, and control in Operational Technologies (OT) and edge computing, driving innovation and efficiency for modern industries.
